How does it work?

TAKE creates ownership of recycling by giving the climb back to the climber. We produce bags and accessories using post-consumer processed climbing rope sourced from commercial climbing gyms.

Collection

Retired rope is gathered directly from contributing commercial climbing gyms. Without a system to collect it, this rope could go unused, forgotten, and thrown away.

Processing

Collected rope is washed and broken down to be used as a textile. This turns an end-of-life product into a raw material ready to be made into something new.

Promotion

The gyms that make this possible deserve recognition. Donating facilities are highlighted across our social channels to show where the rope comes from and who's helping close the loop.

Second Life

Processed rope is crafted into new products and put back into the hands of climbers. The material stays in the community it came from.
